Show Notes
You are not getting consistent clients and it is not because you are not good enough. And it is not because what you are doing is not converting. You are showing up. You are posting. You are adding value, but the clients are not coming consistently.
So, what is the problem?
Most coaches think it is a visibility problem. They think they need more followers, they think they need more content. They need more platforms. They need more shiny objects. They do not.
You Ignore Your Goldmine
It is really a lot easier to deal with these people and talk to these people, but you might be actually ignoring them. That is not a good thing, is it? We spend all this time trying to get new prospects, new people. I call it the gym syndrome. How many times do gyms always look for new people, but they do not look after their loyal people?
And are you doing the same? Are you not emailing your list regularly and not letting them know that you have got those free spots? Are you not telling them what you are up to and the value you have got? They might have worked with you a number of years ago, and now they are in a different position, or they want to get to a different position.
So if you are a career coach, it might be the perfect time for them to be reaching out to you. But they are not sure if you are even still around, if you are doing the things.
Relying Too Much on Social Media
You might be saying, but I am on social media or I am on LinkedIn, I am doing it all. But guess what? Only a very small percentage of people actually see your stuff.
And yes, social media is amazing. LinkedIn is great and it can be where you can get clients from, but not everybody is there and they are not always there looking for you. They might be doing their own thing. They might be just posting and not actually looking. So weeks can go past, months, years and they do not even realise you are there.
You Think Email Does Not Work
But email, that is a different story, is it not? And you might think that it does not work anymore. Well, it absolutely does. And the longer you leave it, the harder it may seem, but it does not have to be.
You do not need more people. You need to be talking to the people that you already have in your audience. And yes, having new people come in is amazing. But if you are not talking to them either, then it is going to be a lot more difficult, is it not?
You need to be consistent. It is not about being noisy. It is about letting people know what you have got. And sometimes it can be just a case of using the same content that you are using on socials. Yes, it generally needs to have a slightly different feel, but you do not have to start from scratch. And you have probably already got a whole stack of content that you can use.
And sometimes it is just a case of sending out a first email and saying, hey, I was thinking of you.
How to Re Engage Your Audience?
What are three simple steps that you can do right now to re engage your audience?
1. Reconnect.
Stop trying to sell. Just have a conversation. Hi, I have been thinking about you. Hi, it has been a while. Just be human, as we always say. Just reach out. One simple email just to talk to them.
And do not be afraid of getting unsubscribes. Because yes, you will. But that is actually an amazing thing. Because if they do not want to be on your list, you do not want them there. They are never going to buy. You are not helpful for them. They might have moved past the services that you offer. Then that is a good thing.
So use the time that you are spending on social media to actually connect with your audience properly. Draw a line in the sand. Stop avoiding it and start doing it. The first step is reconnect.
2. Focus on your warm audience.
The people already engaging with you. Segment your list. Look at who is opening your emails, who is messaging you, who you have spoken to recently. And think about not just them, but who they know as well. Build that network and get visible in a meaningful way.

Not Getting Clients Consistently?
Remember, email is powerful. When you have something valuable to say, say it. And make sure you are making clear invitations. Let people know how they can work with you.
You do not need long emails. Keep it simple. Short, clear, valuable messages that guide people to the next step. That is what works. Consistency beats complexity every time.
