What You Can Celebrate This Christmas
Christmas is a funny time of year. It can feel joyful and full, then suddenly you are missing people, questioning your progress, or replaying every “I should have” from the last 12 months.
In this episode, we slow things down. We take a breath, reflect, and give ourselves some grace. Because whether this year was brilliant, brutal, or somewhere in the middle, you showed up. You did the best you could with what you had.
Give Yourself Grace Before You Review the Year
Before we jump into planning, we start with self kindness.
If you are tired, that is normal. The years do feel faster, and the pace can wear you down. This is your reminder to stop judging yourself through the lens of perfection and start looking for what you actually did.
3 Things to Write Down Today
A simple reflection exercise can shift everything.
Write down:
Three things you did well
Three moments you were brave
Three things that did not work, and what they taught you
If you are stuck, check your camera roll and jog your memory month by month. You will be surprised how much you forgot you handled.
Turn the Coaching Questions Back on Yourself
The more time you spend doing you were coaching a client who felt disappointed or behind, what would you ask them?
Use your own tools on yourself. Powerful questions can help you reframe the story and pull out the real progress, especially when your brain wants to focus on what went wrong.
And remember, we can only self coach so far. Sometimes we need another set of eyes, because we can get stuck in the weeds and miss what is right in front of us.
things you love, you are probably going to attract better clients or more clients. And because you will be spending more time doing those income producing activities, and you will probably be, like radiating the happiness that you are feeling now instead of this grind feeling, you know, you ever get on the call with somebody and you can just feel like the steam coming from their out of their ears because they are just so busy and they are stressed and like, it’s easier to sell the coaching when the client potential client sees that you love what you do and you just sort of bubbling this wonderful energy.
Progress Can Be Quiet
Not all progress is loud.
Sometimes it is drip by drip. It is momentum built in small steps. When you are in the middle of it, it can feel like nothing is happening. Then one day you look back and realise you built a whole new level of confidence, capability, and resilience.
Do Not Stop Marketing Over the Holidays
A lot of people stop marketing at this time of year. We disagree.
This can be one of the best times to stay lightly visible, because so many people are reflecting and thinking, “I do not want 2026 to be the same as 2025.”
You do not need to hustle. You just need consistency.
Set Up Simple Marketing in the Background
If you want January to feel calmer, set up a few things now so you do not start from scratch.
Ideas to batch and schedule:
- a newsletter
- a few social posts
- a simple check in message to warm contacts
- a clear invitation for anyone who wants support in 2026
Reach Out to Past Clients and Warm Contacts
Your next clients are often closer than you think.
Reconnect with people you have worked with before. Ask your network if they know anyone who might need support. You can keep it simple, and you do not need to overthink it.
Quite often, the person you ask is interested themselves.
Goal Sticking, Not Goal Setting
We can all set goals.
Making them stick is where the real magic is. Keep an eye out for the upcoming episode on goal sticking so you can carry momentum through the year, not just into January.
