Three two three is actually the angels number. It means creativity and open communication, according to my research. It also means balance and trust your intuition. So that is a great way to start.
Our episode today, Are you invisible? No, you are not. You are just too close.
Stuck in Feast and Famine
A lot of established coaches have that feast and famine cycle. They have the areas where they are doing really well with their clients. They get the containers. They fill them up, however they are not running pipelines. They are not continually putting more and more people into their world.
What happens is that you do the work and then you have no clients. All the retainers run out, all the situation that you have been doing comes to an end, and then you have to go back and do all this sales and marketing stuff again. No wonder a lot of coaches hate it.
What we need to do is have a much more repeatable system so that while you are doing the delivery, you have constant people coming into your world all the time.
You Lack Pipeline
There is nothing worse than having to come to the end of an amazing coaching session, an amazing coaching arrangement, and now having to go out and do the sales and marketing. It really does feel a bit icky, does it not. So let us work out what we can do to make that so much smoother for you.
The invisibility is an illusion. You feel like you are doing everything, however you are unseen. The thing particularly with marketing is it is not instant most of the time. Yes, it can be if you are running Facebook or Google ads, however quite often even those take a little bit of time to get traction.
If you can keep a repeatable flow ticking along while you are doing the delivery, then even if it takes a few weeks to get it up and running, you are not going to be as stressed, are you, because you have clients and you have work.
If you can continue to have it ticking along and clients coming seemingly out of nowhere, then that makes life so much easier.
You Give Negative Energy
So often established coaches notice this, that they are very quiet and then they post and you get that desperate energy. We actually talked about this in last week’s post and last week’s podcast, SBT Episode 322, about your energy matching your audience.
You start to get that little bit of desperation and they can feel it even through a written post. It might sound a little bit wayward, however it certainly works.
Your “Basic” Is Their Magic
Quite often we are too close to it. We cannot see our brilliance. We do not tell people the really basic things we do because we think they are basic. Yes, to us who have been doing it for quite some time, it can seem like that, however for your clients and new clients it could be the magic thing that they have just been waiting for.
So remember to tell people about what you are actually doing. Give them a little bit of behind the scenes. Show them the process.
Match Your Brand to Your Value
Make sure that your messaging is aligned to what you are actually offering. There are lots of case studies about people where their messaging and branding just has not quite matched up. You are really looking for a luxury service and then you open the door to the hotel and it is just not quite right.
Sometimes coaching can feel a bit like that to clients. So making sure that your branding, your delivery, everything matches the pricing is important.
Sometimes it can be the reverse. You can have the most amazing branding and you are doing fantastic delivery, however your price is too low, so people do not think that you are actually going to deliver what you say.
So get that price mix absolutely nailed is really essential. Otherwise, in this economy that we have of lack of trust, that is just another pointer that they will go to you.
Get Some Fresh Eyes
Getting perspective from outside eyes, making sure that you can find out what needs fixing, because quite often we do not think we have any issues. I am not saying you are broken. You are definitely not. You have got this.
Sometimes having a chat with a mentor or a coach can really help you see the forest for the trees, cannot it.
How often have you been standing in front of the fridge looking for something and then your partner or your kid or somebody else has walked up and said, what are you looking for, the apples, they are right there. You have been standing there for a few minutes and could not see them, however they were there the whole time. It happens all the time.
We need to have a chat with somebody who is going to be honest with us. Our coach or our mentor is great because they have no other vested interest apart from helping you.
Making sure that we are getting that honest feedback and taking it on board. Sometimes it can be a little bit hard, however in the long run it is going to do you good.
Get Feedbacks
Getting that feedback can really help from somebody looking on the outside of your jar.
A simple thing that you can do this week is ask three of your current clients or past clients what they think about your branding, what they think about your messaging and if they have any feedback for you. Quite often we do not think to give feedback unless we are asked, so particularly current clients is a great way to check in with them.
You could ask them why they chose to work with you, what has changed since you have been working together and what they would say to a friend if they were thinking about working with you.
Write their exact words. Do not try to tidy them up or translate them. Those words are gold and that can help you with your marketing as well.
Place those phrases beside your bio. Put them inside it so that people know that that particular phrase and what people are saying about you is exactly what they are looking for. It can make it so much easier with your messaging.

You Are Not Invisible
It is important for coaches to have coaches to make sure that we are a product of our product. It is really hard to sell something that we do not believe in ourselves, and even if we believe wholeheartedly, it is much harder for other people to believe if we do not have a coach.
We love this coaching industry. We want to make it bigger. We want to make it more expansive, and getting a coach is an amazing way to do that.
