Using AI Strategically in Your Coaching Business

AI can help coaches brainstorm ideas, organise content, save time, and improve business operations. However, it is important to know what you want to achieve before choosing a platform or investing time in building systems. Research your options, seek advice from experts, and understand the limitations of the tools you use.

AI can amplify both good and poor ideas, so the quality of the information and instructions you provide matters. Use AI for operational tasks, content development, and initial planning, but do not rely on it to replace your expertise, creativity, judgement, and human connection.

Having the right people in the right roles is equally important. Working with experienced developers and specialists can save time and help you avoid spending hours or weeks trying to build something that could be handled more effectively by an expert.

Creating Engaging Webinars and Summits

With so much content available, coaches need to find ways to stand out. Webinars do not need hundreds of slides to be effective. Demonstrations, audience participation, and real interactions can make presentations more engaging and memorable.

Bringing an attendee into a live demonstration and showing what can be achieved with their products or services creates an authentic experience that helps build trust and improve conversions.

Being real is also important. Presentations should be professional and on-brand, but they do not need to be perfect. Coaches should focus on valuable content, meaningful engagement, and building relationships rather than repeatedly redoing presentations in pursuit of perfection.

When organising summits, focus on strategy and quality rather than the number of speakers. A small group of carefully selected speakers who align with the event’s purpose and target audience can deliver better results than a large collection of unrelated speakers.

Webinars and summits can help coaches generate revenue, grow their email databases, build relationships, and acquire new clients. Those starting out can begin with a smaller event, such as a discussion or interview with one other speaker, before moving on to larger events.

Planning Before Implementing AI

Before creating a webinar, summit, or marketing funnel, establish the fundamentals. Be clear about your target audience, the problem you want to solve, the topic you want to cover, and the outcome you want participants to achieve.

AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude can help coaches explore ideas, organise background material, and develop a plan before moving into a dedicated platform. However, choosing the right platform and understanding its capabilities are essential, especially when developing more complex systems.

Creation may be easy, but preparation is critical. A clear strategy helps ensure that the time and money invested in AI and business development contribute to meaningful results.

Five Tips for Getting Started with AI

Tip 1. Know what you want to achieve. Be intentional about how you use AI and the purpose it serves in your business.

Tip 2. Have a plan. Establish your goals, target audience, and desired outcomes before implementing a solution.

Tip 3. Research your options. Explore available platforms and understand their capabilities and limitations.

Tip 4. Talk to an expert. Seek advice from someone with experience in AI, webinars, summits, or business systems before committing time and money.

Tip 5. Choose the right tools and people. Use platforms that suit your needs and bring in specialists when their expertise can help you work more effectively.

Be mindful of privacy when using AI tools, particularly when handling confidential business information or client data. Understand how your chosen platform handles the information you provide.

Building a Sustainable and Authentic Business

Nairi shares that failure is an opportunity to learn and that supportive business partners can provide valuable knowledge and guidance. She also emphasises the importance of consistency, purpose, passion, and authenticity.

Her daily non-negotiable is creating content, particularly on LinkedIn, where she spends around 20 minutes each morning being intentional about her presence.

Business growth does not happen overnight. Coaches should establish realistic milestones, grow at a sustainable pace, and reinvest at least 10% of their earnings into business growth where possible.
