Facebook Tips for Your Business
Show Notes
Facebook is still the biggest social media platform in the world, so you should definitely be using it when marketing your business. It has been around for about 17 years now and has changed quite a bit over that time. Pages, messaging, promoted ads…
There are some great ways to improve your Facebook experience to generate leads and grow connections with your audience. It all comes down to staying consistent, knowledgeable, and fostering a human connection while understanding what the platform wants from you.
Real Sells
Customers want to know the ‘real you.’ They want to feel like they’re buying from a person, rather than a company. Posting content that is authentically you, with real photos and videos of yourself and your products or services will go a long way when growing a relationship with your online audience.
People want to know about you.
- Where are you?
- What are you doing?
- How can you add your personality to a post?
Back in the day, everyone knew their local shopkeeper by name and the shopkeeper knew them. While this isn’t as common nowadays, you want that kind of connection with the people you are selling to.
Making Content on Facebook
What kind of content are you doing?
Video works wonders when it comes to online spaces because people can see your face and hear your voice, and then they get to know you. While video content and live features can be scary, they make a big difference to getting noticed. If people like what you have to say, they will flock to you. Attracting your ideal client through interesting, personal content is the way to go.
Facebook Groups
There are over 400 million people using Facebook Groups right now. That’s a lot of people! It’s also a great opportunity for you to get in touch with your ideal audience. Sharing your post to 2 or 3 groups will ensure that people see your posts, and it increases your engagement quite a bit as well as getting new people to notice you.
Remember not to be spammy, however.
Use Facebook as Part of Your Marketing Strategy; Not Your Whole Strategy.
While Facebook is a great tool, you need to make sure it’s not the only thing you have. If the platform deems you to have broken any rules or to have done something they don’t like, you will be shut down and that’s it.
Remember to have somewhere safe to store your business details online – such as a website.
Facebook Tips for Your Business
Facebook is a great asset for businesses all over the world and as we become more and more online-focused, businesses need to adapt to marketing in digital spaces.
